Mark has over 35 years’ experience with consulting engineering firms designing mechanical systems, plus an additional two years in the manufacturing industry. Mark is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
Since joining JSA in 1989, Mark has been involved in numerous major projects including data centers, hospitals, office buildings, classroom and library buildings, and laboratory spaces. His emphasis in the past ten years has been on projects for colleges and universities.
Projects have included new and major renovations of central chilled water and steam plants, major mechanical renovations of existing, occupied library and classroom/laboratory spaces, as well as new buildings such as a multi-story Women’s Center at an existing hospital and a multi-story Learning Center at an existing college. Other projects have included teaching laboratories, combined research and animal holding laboratories with bio-level 3 containment, a vascular biology research lab, a cancer treatment center, and epigenetics laboratories.
Mark holds a MSME from Northwestern University and a BSME from the University of Pennsylvania. He is a licensed engineer in Georgia.
